MTC - Bitter/Sweet and Awesome day! March 2, 2011

Time to say goodbye at the MTC! We are so happy for Kaden that we didn't plan to be sad, but as 1:00 came, and after taking pics and hanging out near the Provo Temple, we all broke down. Such a bitter sweet moment for each one of us. When we went to the drop off location curbside, our spot had to be one of the last drop offs allowing me (Mom) to see ALL the other missionaries saying goodbye to their crying mom's at the curbside. (Just my luck) So much for holding it together. People have since asked how we liked the curbside drop off, and I have to say, "Not too much." I suppose there's really no great or fun way to do it. It will be all we know. We are so proud of Kaden, and although we are going to miss him Dearly and think of him Daily we know we will all be richly blessed for his sacrifices and diligence in serving our beloved Savior for the next two years. We're excited for the MTC and the great people in Poland to meet and spend time with Kaden and his kind, excepting, and fun personality! He will be better, and stronger, and we will be better, and stronger because of him. We love you Kaden and plan to follow and support your great journey these next two years! This day was awesome because we could tell you were ready for it all to begin!
We couldn't find any one to take a pic of all of us which is why I put the family pic at the top. :)
Special bond!
Love!

At the curbside. Reality kicking in for mom!
We love you Kaden!

Preparing for the Big Day!

The farewell talk in Church was on Feb.20th. It was awesome to see and feel all the love and support. The talk was great and we had a wonderful group of both family and friends come over for lunch and lots of fun hanging out after. It really was just the best day! Then a week later, on Mon. night Feb28th. President Anderson set Kaden a part as a missionary. Oh man this was a special night. The blessing was amazing, and I know it gave Kaden a lot to look forward to. It also gave us all so much peace and comfort. I'm sad the pics of this night are on Kaden's camera and not mine, but I'll get them eventually, and I'll post them later. I think we went to the store daily preparing for everything, and honestly just when we thought we really had it all we were back to a store. I now appreciate this time we spent together and think of him every time I go anywhere because it was our life that last month.. Time to say goodbye to friends, extended fam, and sunny St. George for 2 yrs and head for the MTC.

Called to Serve!

Kaden received his mission call in the mail on November 19th 2010. He was called to serve as a missionary of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints assigned to labor in the Poland Warsaw Mission. He was told to report to the Provo MTC on March 2, 2012. This was a surreal day/night. We stayed up after all the fam and friends left, and googled Warsaw Poland, looking at pics and map locations. There's just something cool about seeing it on the Map:) Bree even learned a few Polish words while we all sat and read and studied the info that was apart of the call. It was a LATE night, and time didn't matter in the slightest. It was fun to hear her and her friend learning the words and then coming to show us.We're all excited! Excited for Kaden and this great adventure! Excited and proud of Kaden for sacrificing so much to go and serve the Lord for 2yrs sharing the Gospel with the people in Poland. To Watch him learn, grow and transform into a great man. Greater :)  With all the love and concern he shares for everyone he meets.. he will be an amazing missionary! ..no doubt! The people in Poland will love him! We love you Kaden and are anxious to share this wonderful journey with you these next 2 yrs!
